Green Flag Guarantee™
One of the best things about IMG events is that we feature quality track time and
lots of it. To prove how serious we are and to show our commitment to our drivers, IMG is offering a Green Flag Guarantee™ - At each IMG event, drivers
in the DE, TT, and Race groups will be guaranteed a certain amount of track time.
How Does it Work?
Before each event, we set a minimum guaranteed track time:
- For DE and TT drivers, this will be 2 hours total session
time for their group for the event weekend, from the time the first driver leaves
pit out until the checkered flag
- For Sprint Race drivers, this will be approximately the equivalent of two feature
races, or 40 minutes of green flag racing for the event weekend. Green flag
racing time is the time that the green is flown until the checkered flag not including
full course yellows or black flag laps.
- We will guarantee that all drivers who enter for the full weekend will receive
at least the minimum track time, regardless of incidents, or IMG will give you a $150
credit towards the next event on the season schedule.
In plain English, what this means is that if your session is cut short due to an
incident or problem, we will do everything we can to make sure that you get your
track time. In the event that we can't give you the majority of the track time you
paid for, we will give you a big discount on the next event on our schedule.
Who is Eligible, and What is Covered?
Any IMG driver who
pre-registers for and enters the HPDE, Time Trial, or Sprint Race for any IMG full
weekend will be automatically eligible for the Green Flag Guarantee™. All IMG events
that run the course of a full weekend are covered.
There are some situations where we have no control over track availability, and
we will not be able to apply the Green Flag Guarantee™. These include forced stoppages
due to safety, extreme inclement weather, and other track-enforced stoppages or
cancellations. In these cases, we will still do our best to try to accommodate all
of our drivers to the best of our ability.
The Fine Print
The Green Flag Guarantee™ applies only to event weekends (or consecutive 2-day events held during the week).
The Green Flag Guarantee™ is personal to each registered and paid driver, and is not transferable or assignable. The Green Flag Guarantee™ has no cash value.
The discount applies only to the event fees for IMG's next, regularly-scheduled weekend (2-day) event, and may not be used as a credit against membership fees, transponder rental, track/racecar rental or other charges.
Force Majeure: The Green Flag Guarantee™ does not apply in cases of Acts of God (including fire, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane or other natural disaster), war, invasion, act of foreign enemies, hostilities (regardless of whether war is declared), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power or confiscation, terrorist activities, nationalisation, government sanction, blockage, embargo, labor dispute, strike, lockout or interruption or failure or interruption of electricity or track emergency services.
